Handmade Wooden Toys Knowledge Base
About a handmade wooden toy...about 5 thin rectangles of wood with ribbons weaved between them, does anyone .. My friend had this toy when she was younger, and I always wanted one.... Its probably hand made from a craft show. Its approximately 5 small flat rectangles of wood laid out in a line with two ribbons weaved in and out between the blocks. When you hold them uo, they stay attached, but if you hold it by the second block down, the top block tumbles down the row of blocks to the bottom, and the second block that yuour holding on to then becomes the top block. Its a very neat toy! Im wondering has anyone ever heard of seen, or own this toy? Do you know what it is called, or a place (preferably a website) that i can find it? Or does anyon know any history about the toy or helpful hints to help me find it? Thank you for your time! this means alot to me to find this information!!!
Do you know what these antique wooden toys or dolls are? I have several of these wooden dolls that are definitely not handmade because they are too perfect. They are very old and look like they were painted with enamel. PayPal for a Small Business? My neighbor makes wooden toys/games for children, and I am helping him set up a website so that he can sell online. He is wanting to use Paypal so that he can accept payments directly from the website, and I was wondering exactly how I would go about setting this up? Does he need a merchant's account? He isn't going to be selling a whole lot since all the toys are handmade, so I was wondering if he would even need a merchants account or if there was some other way to go about putting a Paypal link on the page? Also, does this cost anything to set up and use? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you think that the gov. should provide $$ means to provide testing of home based products sold? I thought this was interesting I am sorry for the detail, but I received this in an e-mail, and I find it hard to believe that we can accept this. Has anybody heard of the "Blue Cat Toy Company"? I bought a wooden badge of a boy chicken (it is 3am and I can't spell the word). It is made by the Blue Cat Toy Company, Handmade in England. I want to sell it on EBay, but would prefer to know about the company first. I only paid 50p for it so there is no potential goldmine waiting for me. I am just curious.
Do these sound like nice presents for my daughters for Christmas? I've been buying for my daughter for Christmas as my husband decided he knew what our son who isn't born yet would want. Our daughters are 6 and 2. For the 2 year old: Leapfrog learning centre and games, some clothes as she's grown out of some, a wooden railway set, a play work bench, some hand made toys like a teddy bear and a few handmade dolls. We have also gotten her a trike which is her big present. For the 6 year old: A new guitar (My husband's old one) , lots of second hand books, some clothes, a new journal for her to write in, new set of drawing pencils. She is also getting a DSi with some games as her big present. For our son (I'm pregnant with) we have gotten: clothes, baseball gloves (they used to belong to my husband and his father, we got them mended), some homemade stuffed toys and he's also getting my husband's first guitar in his room. The guitar is almost 40 years old as the guitar belonged to my husband's older brother originally. Are these nice presents or too much?
Yard sale pricing..does this sound good? We have an extremely heavy antique wooden framed mirror..we paid $75 at a Good Will type place years and years ago and no longer have anywhere to put it. I'm thinking about asking $45 but going no lower than $35 because it is still in excellent condition. For clothes I'm thinking 50 cents unless it's something heavy or was really expensive...baby clothes 3 for $1 unless it's the same situation...I have a 10cup coffeemaker does $10 seem reasonable? Thighmaster for $5? And I have this back massager from HoMedics I was thinking $10? There's also some handmade jewelry that I made with Austrian crystal beads and various other beads like Tiger's Eye and Snowflake Obsidian. Some are bracelet earring sets and I was thinking maybe $10 for the sets and $5 for the single bracelets? I've also got a bunch of still wrapped toys from McD's (my mom works there) I think a quarter is good right?

My 6 year old loves reading, does like toys. She's obsessed with Shakespeare. She's getting second hand ones because she prefers them as she doesn't feel bad if it gets bend slightly unlike if it was brand new
