Classic wooden toy blocks for young toddler? I've been looking online for wooden blocks. Found the Uncle Goose alphabet blocks and am quite happy. But I'm out of luck with regards to building blocks. I'd like to have colored ones. The Doug and Melissa blocks are too small for someone less than 2 years. I found blocks that are the size that I want, but they are not painted. The ideal would be 1-3/4" or more (though 1-1/2" is okay), and not made in China. Where can I find the blocks?
Please help... need nursery ideas? We are having a baby boy in January, and I'd love to get your opinions on nursery ideas. 1. Did you use a theme for your nursery, or did you just choose colors? If you used a theme, what theme did you use? 2. We are considering doing either a train, forest animals, or ocean theme. Which of these do you like best? The Little Crib Bedding That Could: http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=167&f=833&pc=67 Forest Friends: http://www.kidslineinc.com/products/infant/forest_friends.php Tree Tops: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3500119 Ocean or sea life: (Can't find a set I like yet -- if you find one, let me know!) 3. My aunt wants to buy me one of these nursery rhyme lithographs for our boy's room (as they were made by a relative): http://www.divadoggies.com/Site/Art_for_Boys.html I'm not sure if they "go" with any of the themes we are thinking of, though. Any suggestions on how to make them work with one of the themes above? Or should we forget a theme and instead do an old-fashioned sort of nursery, with basic baby blue crib bedding, hand-knit blankets, the nursery rhyme lithographs, classic wooden toys, hand-knit stuffed animals (my sister-in-law knits a lot), and such? We'd probably paint a wall blue, too, in order to make the nursery look colorful enough. Thanks for your help and ideas! (I'm reposting this question because it didn't show up last time.)
I need ideas to decorate my baby's room.? I'd like to use toys (wooden blocks, rubber duckies, other classic toys) to decorate the baby's room in a creative way. We don't want to use the prepackaged rooms from the big stores. Any ideas?

Where could I find/get a Boogeyman costume? So it being the Holiday season the classic Babes Toyland/March of the Wooden Soldiers starring Laurel and Hardy comes on and I get a good idea for an ensemble Halloween getup to depict the main characters from The March of the Wooden Soldiers; Bo-Peep, Tom-Tom Piper, Barnaby, The Toy Solider and The Boogeyman. (wikipedia link for reference of characters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babes_in_Toyland_%281934_film%29 ) I figure the first ones would be easy to come across, except the boogeyman. I figure I could use brown fleece one piece p.j's and a hula skirt, but the mask I can't seem to find. I can't even find a picture online of the boogeyman for reference. So my question is: Where would/could I find a Boogeyman Mask or Costume? Any pictures or leads would be greatly appreciated.
What should be the moral of my ode? Here's my ode: Dance was an unsharpened knife given to me two years ago. The amazing glow and spark of it enticed me to the movements and styles. How can a person harness such powerful movement? My body can’t resist sliding around the stage like an uncontrolled ice cube, twirling around in the Picasso masterpiece. I was an elegant swan gliding in a slippery lake, a spin top on a wooden stage. The crowd was a child mesmerized by a new toy. The audience sits tense like a fault on the verge of an earthquake. I see their eyes following a dancers every movement, listening to a writer spinning a classic tale. I'm not sure what the moral should be. I NEED to have one though. :( Any suggestions?
