How to clean soft toys which turned yellowish?

I have a few soft toys bought many years ago. Recently I discovered that some areas had turned yellowish. Is there any way to recover to its original colour of white? Thanks!

1. Put them in a pillow case cover and put them in a washing machine on 40 degrees. Only do this if they are no too delicate
